Jenny is a musician and step dancer. Growing up in London, she headed south to study music at Exeter University and fell in love with the South West! Whilst perhaps not a true local, she has thrown herself into Devon life and is five times Dartmoor Stepdance champion and advocate of the tradition.
She started her working life in community and housing projects alongside music teaching. She gained a teaching qualification at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Since then she has enjoyed teaching music and traditional dance to anyone wanting to learn, whatever their age or experience. This takes her into schools, community settings and festivals across Devon and beyond.
Jenny joined the Wren team in early 2020. When she’s not playing or dancing, Jenny enjoys making things out of fabric and filling the house with sand and mud – the result of exploring Devon with a pair of crazy dogs!
