Women from the Wren Music team have worked hard through the Winter to produce a fabulous new resource for community and folk choirs of all genders.
The Her Story Songbook was launched at the 2022 International Women’s Day concert held at The Cygnet Theatre in Exeter. This concert has been an annual feature in the Wren Music Spring calendar, and each year features a choir of women who come forward especially for the project.
The Songbook comprises 20 new folk songs for choirs to sing, and presents songs from the first five years of Her Story. Celebrating the women hidden in history and turning the real lives of women today into the folk songs of tomorrow.
With each Songbook purchased there is access to a download of audio files of all 20 songs, so you can hear how they sound when sung by a choir.
