SUMMARY:North Devon Folk Choir
DESCRIPTION:Catering for both new and experienced singers\, the North Devon Folk Choir have been learning and performing folk songs together since 2012.\nNorth Devon Folk Choir has performed at a huge variety of local venues in Barnstaple and other North Devon towns. The choir toured with the show ‘Trade Roots’\, exploring North Devon’s links with the rest of the world. Many singers joined the Landkey Carols project. Unusual spaces have always been popular with the group\, busking on Apple Day in the South Molton pannier market\, or singing a local traditional Harvest Song in a stubble field!

SUMMARY:Exeter Folk Choir
DESCRIPTION:The Exeter Folk Choir is the longest-running of the Wren choirs\, established in 1989. We meet in central Exeter every Wednesday during term time.\nThe choir spans generations and has members with formal musical backgrounds singing alongside those who had never sung a note before setting foot into their first session. Together they learn and perform folk songs from three main sources; traditional English folk songs often from Devon\, songs recently written and a few songs in other languages or from other cultures
