Learn Traditional Carols from Landkey, North Devon
Learn traditional carols from North Devon, wherever you are in the world! On demand learning videos will be available for 15 local versions of Christmas carols. For those local to the area, there will also be in-person rehearsals near Landkey and a public carol sing in December!
We hope the blend of online learning and in-person sessions means the opportunity to learn these traditional carols reaches both local people, those further afield, those that prefer to stay at home, and those that would rather be away from the computer.
All ages are welcome and you do not have to have done any singing before to take part.
If you joined us online to learn some Landkey Carols last year, we’d love to welcome you back. 10 of the carols we shared in 2020 will be shared again, but there are five more that have been specially arranged for this year’s project.
To access the online sessions and join the online rehearsal, simply join the online group on our dedicated teaching website using the ‘book here’ link at the top of this page. Choose your price to take part: £1, £5 or £10.
The first set of carols will be released on Friday 5 November.
A second set will be released on Friday 12 November.
Online Rehearsals

Weekly Tuesday Rehearsals at Landkey Village Hall
If you’re within travelling distance of Landkey we invite you to attend three in person rehearsals.

- Tuesday 30 November, 7.00pm–9.00pm
- Tuesday 7 December, 7.00pm–9.00pm
Rehearsals will be led by Jon Dyer.
Saturday Afternoon Rehearsal at Landkey Village Hall
If you can’t make the weekly Tuesday sessions, or if you live further afield, you might like to join us for a one-off afternoon rehearsal. We’ll sing through a selection of the carols at this session ahead of carol singing in the streets later that day.

Carol Singing in Landkey, Saturday 11 December
Everyone is invited to the streets of Landkey to sing our favourite of the carols in full voice in the evening on Saturday 11 December. Led by Paul Wilson, Jon Dyer and Marilyn Tucker, with the Landkey Sings Community Group. Free to attend.
