Welcome to the Fiddle Orchestra of Devon, Wren’s monthly ensemble for bowed string players led by expert fiddle player Becki Driscoll. In the group we focus on developing fiddle-playing technique including bowing, tone and ornamentation as well as learning repertoire arranged in parts for the orchestra.
There are some entry requirements for the Fiddle Orchestra - you need to have a basic knowledge of your instrument and be able to play a couple of simple tunes in first position. Please get in touch if you are not sure about this. The music will be arranged with different levels of complexity so there will be parts for different abilities; however, the group is not suitable for complete beginners.
