The most recently formed of the regular choirs, MenSing is a progression group for singers from Wren’s Folk Choirs. The group meets for rehearsal once a month at Ebenezer Hall in Okehampton and has sung both locally and in the Manor Pavilion at the Sidmouth Folk Festival.
With parts arranged for multiple voices, from low bass through tenor to the melody, there is something for all ranges of voices. Songs are sourced from all over the world – from the UK tradition to as far afield as Georgia and even New Zealand – and may be sung in the local language, which gives an added richness to the performance.
